The City of Minneapolis and partners Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce and Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED)/MN Trade Office are hosting a free seminar for metro businesses interested in exploring exporting as part of their business strategy on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the Downtown Minneapolis office of the Dorsey and Whitney Law Firm (6th and Nicollet), 50 South 6th Street, #1500, Minneapolis, MN 55402.
The interactive seminar is an opportunity for small and medium sized businesses to learn from other businesses that have successfully executed global exporting strategies and from export experts.
During the seminar, business owners and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to be paired with an experienced mentor who can work with the business to develop an export plan.
There is no charge to attend and all businesses who sign up by Friday, November 8 will receive free marketing information tailored to their business prior to the November 14 Mainstreaming Exports Seminar. Registration is required at www.minneapolischamber.org/seminar or by calling 612-370-9100.
This is the second Mainstreaming Exports Seminar. The first Mainstreaming Exports Seminar was held in Edina, Minnesota with an estimated 40 trade experts and businesses in attendance.
Included in the speaker line up will be Sebastien Tavenas Vice President of Global Sales from Julia Knight Inc., a local Minneapolis company that sells serving ware, glassware, and other home products.
Tavenas will be among the experts sharing their tips on global exporting to seminar attendees.
