US China Business Connections will hold its next monthly breakfast networking meeting Wednesday. April 2, 2014, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Room MOH 201 of the University of St. Thomas — Minneapolis Campus.
Look for Room MOH 201 on the second floor across from the security desk. Park in the 10th Street and Hennepin Ramp and take the elevator to the second floor.
Sishir Chang, a third-degree black belt in Judo, and one of the coaches of the University of Minnesota Judo Club and Team, will be the guest presenter on the topic of protecting yourself and your belongings while visiting or working in China.
Chang will talk about avoiding conflicts and uncomfortable situations through situational awareness, de-escalation, prevention techniques, and understanding the laws in China can reduce or prevent the chance of many embarrassing situations. Join us to insure you know what you can do to have a great experience visiting or working in China.
Chang was an international level Judo competitor and has also competed in Brazilian Jujitsu and Mixed Martial Arts. He has traveled widely through China and several parts of the world often alone and away from areas frequented by tourists. He has taught self-defense to individuals, groups and businesses with a focus on travelers.
