Small businesses interested in starting a business, growing a business, or doing business with government agencies and prime contractors should attend the 2012 Greater Minnesota Resource and Government Procurement Fair on Oct. 24, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Northern Lights Casino and Event Center, 6800 Frontage Road NW, Walker, Minn.
Native-owned, veteran-owned and woman-owned small businesses can learn about special programs designed to provide better access to the government marketplace.
There will be a trade show throughout the day, along with a variety of workshops including Starting a Small Business, Selling to the Government, Social Networking and Certifications. The Minnesota American Indian Chamber of commerce will be holding a Business Builder Luncheon in conjunction with the fair (limited to the first 200 registrants).

The event is sponsored by Minnesota Procurement Technical Assistance Center, and First American Capital Corporation Tribal Procurement Technical Assistance Center.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by the Trade Fair and workshops from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a MAICC Business Builder Lunch from noon to 1:30 p.m.
