Minneapolis Public Schools is currently seeking qualified vendors to provide executive leadership training and development to MPS senior leaders to advance their leadership skills.
“The desired end state is a high effective and proficient senior leadership team that will enhance the school district’s ability to build additional leadership capacity within the organization and execute the mission of MPS,” said Dr. Bernadeia Johnson, superintendent of MPS.
Vendors are asked to create a curriculum based on current leadership best practices focused on building a nimble, flexible, adaptable and accountable organization. MPS seeks to help senior leaders create a performance-based culture, drive improved organization results, increase the quality of all staff, accelerate organization changes and improve the engagement and retention of employees.
“MPS believes that our purchasing power should enhance equity in business opportunities for minorities, women and other diverse communities,” said James Burroughs, executive director of equity and diversity. “We hope that diverse vendors will submit a bid for this opportunity.”
A request for proposal (RFP) is listed on the MPS website and diverse vendors are encouraged to submit a bid. The deadline to receive bids is January 27. Questions and communications pertaining to this RFP must be directed in writing to: Gary Anderson, Director of Purchasing, 807 NE. Broadway Street, Room 304, Minneapolis, MN 55413.
