Japan America Society of Minnesota invites the public to its third annual Japan Career Day co-sponsored by JET Alumni Association Minnesota. The event will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Alexander Hill Ballroom of Macalester College, 1600 Grand Avenue, St Paul 55105.
This is an opportunity to receive advice and other information that could greatly benefit you in your job search. This year’s Career day will feature many new exciting features so be sure to take advantage of them.
The Keynote speaker will be Rob Imrie, who has worked as the Asia Marketing manager for Mall of America, at Citibank Japan, and at Northwest Airlines in Japan. Panel discussions will be held on career options for students and young professionals
There will be one-on-one resume counseling, networking opportunities, and small breakout sessions (If interested in resume counseling, be sure to indicate on your registration form. This is also a chance to hear JET Alumni speaking about their experiences.
The cost is $8 for JASM members and $10 for non-members. Dress in business casual, and bring copies of your resume with you to the Career Day.
Following the Career Day is a Sushi Social networking event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Sakura restaurant, 350 Saint Peter Street #195, Downtown St Paul. This will be an excellent opportunity for Career Day Attendees to network with other attendees and established Japan professionals from around the Twin Cities Metro Area.
The cost is $25 for JASM members and $30 for non-members.
