U.S. China Business Connections (UCBC) will hold it monthly Networking Breakfast Meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the University of St Thomas, Room MOH 201, 1000 Lasalle Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55403.
The November topic is “China: Trading partner or foe? The World’s View”, with presenter is Jennifer Kocs, Vice President of Sales for PRA Global Business Development, a firm that helps companies execute their objectives in emerging markets, whether for growing export sales, setting up manufacturing, or finding and developing suppliers.
Kocs will present and discuss current views of China’s influence and opportunities during this upcoming event. She will discuss China as rapidly changing nation with a new government that has taken control this past year. With these changes, the world’s view of China is also evolving quickly, and is influenced greatly by competing consumer driven and trade objectives within China and across the world from Japan and India to South America, Eastern Europe and Africa.
Each of these countries has their own view of China, taking into account the history, perceived opportunity and potential threats.
Kocs joined PRA in April after seven years with the State of Minnesota helping companies export. Before joining the State, Jennifer worked in business development in diverse industries including agribusiness, software, and publishing, focused on Asia. Jennifer is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis.
There will be a drawing for a $30 gift card to The Tea House Restaurant so get there early and bring colleagues.
