US-China Business Connections will hold its September Networking and Breakfast event on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the University of St. Thomas, Opus Hall-Room 201, Minneapolis, MN 55403.
The topic of the event will be “Understanding and utilizing the EB-5 Program — a federal program designed to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and foreign capital investment.”
Seymour Mansfield, a partner at Foley & Mansfield, and UCBC director, will serve as moderator for speakers Michael Davis, Managing Partner, Davis & Goldfarb, immigration law firm; and Joe Sperber, owner of Liberty EB-5 Regional Centers. A panel discussion will follow with Mary Ellen Reihsen and Ye Xu.
The speakers and panelists, legal and business experts, will give you a basic understanding of EB-5’s legal, business and cultural aspects and potential hurdles, as well as some preliminary knowledge of whether your or your friends’ venture may be suitable as EB-5 investment projects.
The Networking and Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by Welcome and Introductions at 7:50 a.m. The Presentation begins at 8 a.m., followed by optional networking at 9 a.m. The event fee is $30 and students get in free.
