U.S. – China Business Connections will hold its next Networking and Breakfast Meeting on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the McNamara Center of Dunwoody College, 818 Dunwoody Blvd., Minneapolis, MN 55403. The January topic will be “China’s Agricultural Reforms and Ongoing Changes”, with guest presenter, Kit Spangler, Director of Marketing and Sales for Ten Square International.
Spangler will discuss agricultural reforms begun in 1978. That will present a background for current challenges of rural out migration, international competition in food production, urban-rural income disparity, and a sophisticated domestic consumer. To address this, China plans to invest in agricultural equipment, which has implications for foreign agricultural equipment and technology sales.
Networking and breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. with the presentation followed by time to ask questions from 8:40 to 9:30 a.m.
There is a $25 non-member fee. Students and new members may attend free of charge. There is free parking in the Dunwoody student lot. For more information contact Jim Smith at 612-865-6543 or [email protected] Visit online at www.ucbcgroup.org.
