ST. PAUL, Minn. (March 26, 2015) — Western Bank announce Thursday the promotion of Andrew Swammi to Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking. Swammi works at the bank’s Bloomington location.
Swammi joined Western Bank in 1997, and over the years he has successfully built and managed a large portfolio of C&I, CRE, and nonprofit commercial banking relationships. He brings a high level of expertise and professionalism, particularly in the area of tax exempt financing for nonprofits, and has worked closely with a number of charter schools to structure financing to help them acquire and expand facilities.
In addition to his work at Western Bank, Swammi has made significant volunteer commitments to organizations including NDC and LISC, and is a past board chair of a local charter school.
