Japan America Society of Minnesota presents its next Corporate Roundtable on Wednesday, May 16, from 8 a.m. at Gray Plant Mooty Mooty & Bennett, P.A., IDS Center, 80 S 8th St. Minneapolis, MN 55402.
Enhance your understanding of the Japanese market with the Japan America Society of Minnesota Corporate Roundtable, a program featuring speakers from the Board of Directors, corporate member companies and their colleagues from Japan.
The May event presenter is Michael Brown, Director of International Sales and Marketing for Andersen Windows and Doors Corp. His topic will be “Andersen Windows – Responds to Economic Challenges with Initiatives in Japan ”
Brown will address how the Japanese construction industry has fared during these times of economic challenges. He will talk about the work of Andersen Corporation and their role in the housing market in Japan.
The company was able to serve in the recovery effort in the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. Brown will talk about his recent trip to Tohoku and show photos of the town of Onagawa, where in one specific area of the town 2,400 souls lost their lives to the tsunami.
Andersen Corporation helped to sponsor some of the relief housing in the areas affected in Tohoku.
In addition to large corporate customers, he is responsible for all direct sales projects in Australia, China, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, India and the Philippines. He also served on the JASM Board of Directors in 2005-2006.
