Asian Economic Development Association is presenting the “Branding and Creating a Business District at University Avenue and Western” workshop on Thurs., Aug. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kings Crossing community room at Frogtown Square, 500 North Dale Street, St. Paul. The city has begun creating a marketing and branding plan to support the small businesses along the intersection of University Avenue and Western Avenue. The plan will brand an Asian business district at University Avenue and Western.
The plan will market the businesses and attract customers and visitors. The plan will have programs to support businesses during light rail construction. The plan will help businesses grow after light rail construction.
Discussion questions and topics will include AEDA’s proposed marketing strategies, of how will branding and marketing support businesses, of how does the brand reflect and promote the surrounding neighborhoods, and community concerns and impact.
