ST. PAUL — Mu Performing Arts proudly presents the Minnesota Chinese Restaurant Tour of “FOB” by playwright David Henry Hwang (Broadway’s Chinglish, M. Butterfly), and directed by Randy Reyes. The production will tour during weekends in June to four Minnesota communities.
Mu Artistic Director Randy Reyes helms Hwang’s landmark Obie Award-winning play which explores relationships and conflicts between established ABC (American Born Chinese) and FOB (Fresh Off the Boat) newcomers. The production stars Eric Sharp (Yellow Fever, Into the Woods), Meghan Kreidler (Kung Fu Zombies Vs. Cannibals), and Michael Sung-Ho (Into the Woods, Little Shop of Horrors).
On June 7–8 FOB will play at Jin Hu Restaurant in New York Mills; on June 14–15 at the New Great Wall in North Mankato; on June 21–22 at Golden China in Red Wing; and June 28–29 at Kingdom Buffet in Rochester.
All Performances are on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. General Admission is $5. Ticket includes a Chinese buffet meal and the performance equal to a $35 value.
