SHAKOPEE, Minn., (July 17, 2012) – King Henry invites Mall guests to the Rotunda and Sears Court to preview the 42ndMinnesota Renaissance Festival on Sunday, July 22nd, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Live entertainment will transport visitors back in time to a 16th century Elizabethan village. Marvel at the amazing medieval dancers of the Vodca Family and Caravan and listen to the festive sounds of The Dregs, Langer’s Ball, and the Court Revelers.
Guests can enjoy the comedic show from Lloyd Brant and wonder at the mystical Pizpor as he entertains the King and his court with his magic show. Aside from the live entertainment on stage, patrons will also be able to take photos with some of their favorite characters and enter to win tickets to the Renaissance Festival.
Around the corner in the Sears Court, kids can indulge in the free arts and crafts by making a unique wand and decorating Renaissance coloring sheets in the Children’s Realm. Live entertainers will interact with all guests throughout the day to ensure a fun, family-friendly day of Renaissance festivities that will give patrons a teaser of the Festival before it opens!
The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is a first-class experience whose 42nd season begins on Saturday, August 18 and runs till September 30, 2012. The Festival is open weekends, Labor Day and a special day for schools and seniors on Festival Friday, Sept. 28th, 2012 open from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., rain or shine.
The Festival is located three miles south of Shakopee on Hwy 169. Price of admission is $21.95 for adults; $12.95 for children 5 – 12; $19.95 for seniors; four and under is free; dogs $10.00 with registration.
