Outdoor event to include camp activities, food, craft beer and music, all to benefit the YMCA Camps of the Greater Twin Cities
Hudson, Wis. (Aug. 3, 2015) — The YMCA Camps of the Greater Twin Cities is excited to announce the first-ever Prairie Burn Music Festival to be held on September 26 at Camp St. Croix in picturesque Hudson, Wis.
This unique family-friendly, outdoor event goes beyond activities for the kids, with something for everyone, including: amazing food, craft beer, barn dance, camp games, climbing tower, archery, hay rides and a giant swing (yep, it’s HUGE). All these activities will revolve around 9 hours of live music on three stages from The Paul Chapman Crew, Hamdog, Colin Tierney, Pushing Chain, Wailing Loons, Ruben, Zach Dyer and The Lucy Michelle Band. Even more musical fun will involve Move and Swing with MacPhail Center for Music, du Nord Loud and Fun Family Sing, and du Nord Community Sing.
Proceeds will go to the endowments of the fifteen YMCA Greater Twin Cities Camps (day and overnight), including Camp du Nord, Camp St. Croix, Christmas Tree, Guy Robinson, Heritage, Icaghowan, Iduhapi, Kici Yapi, Kumalya, Manitou, Menogyn, Spring Lake, Streefland, Warren and Widji. This money will assist with camp scholarships so every kid can have the chance at a life-changing camp experience.
When: Saturday, September 26, 1:00 – 10:00 PM at Camp St. Croix, 532 County Rd F, Hudson, WI 54016. From the cities? We’re closer than you think! Pssst…we’re even closer than Stillwater!
