MINNEAPOLIS (July 10, 2016) — The University of Minnesota Asian American Studies program invites the public to attend a special reading of “Paper Son,” from playwright Christine Toy Johnson at 7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 8, 2016 at the Guthrie Theater Kitchak Lounge (Level 3), 818 S. 2nd Street, Minneapolis.
ReImagined World Entertainment will be presenting a reading of the reading Mu Performing Arts actors Katie Bradley, Erin Mackey, Randy Reyes and Eric Pogi Sumangil. The reading will be followed by a discussion with Erika Lee, Ph.D., University of Minnesota history professor and author of “At America’s Gates”, “Angel Island”, and “The Making of Asian America.”

Johnson was born and raised in New York City where she lives with her husband Bruce.
