Hosted by Pan Asian Arts Alliance, the Pan Asian Dance Festival – Symposium and Competition, will be held on August 17-18, at the E.M. Pearson Theater, Concordia University, 312 Hamline Avenue North, Saint Paul, MN 55104.
The uniqueness of the Festival this year is, in order to promote Pan Asian Dance, Arts and Culture, the focus will be more on the learning and cultural exchange, and putting the competition and prizes later.
The Pan Asian Dance Festival will start on August 17 evening, the Symposium will be held for all the dance groups who are participating the competition, as well as for the Public, who are passionate about the diverse Pan Asian Dance, Arts, and Culture. And it is all FREE. Reception starts at 5pm of August 17, guests can social and network before the 2-hour Symposium at 6pm. As the leader of Pan Asian performing arts in the Twin Cities, Pan Asian Arts Alliance wishes the Symposium to be very interesting, but yet, very educational for all the guests with all ages.
Opening Ceremony will then start the Dance Competition about 8pm. This year, we have more than 20 dance groups to compete for the Ensemble for 18+ year-old youth. On Saturday, August 18, competition will resume at 9am, for other groups: Modern Dance, Ensemble for 8-12 year-old youth, Ensemble for 13-17 year-old youth, and Solo/Duet/Trio. Finally, we will have the Award Ceremony, to reward to the best performers.
Without these professionally trained dancers to participate, this Festival could not happen. We cordially invite you to come to appreciate this exciting, fun, and with high quality, the First International Pan Asian Dance Festival.
