Four stars from the original Broadway cast of Jersey Boys debut with Minnesota Orchestra, on June 20, 2014, 8 p.m. at Orchestra Hall, 1111 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN, 55403.
The concert takes place on same night as the release of the film adaptation of Jersey Boys. The Midtown Men, vocalists, Christian Hoff, J. Robert Spencer, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard, are four stars from the original cast of the Broadway smash hit Jersey Boys. They debut with the Minnesota Orchestra in a single concert conducted by Sarah Hicks.
The songs will include hits of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, the Beatles, the Rascals, Motown and more. Tony Award winner Hoff, Tony nominee Spencer, Longoria and Reichard celebrate the music that defined the ’60s—by coincidence, on the same date as the release of the Clint Eastwood-directed film version of Jersey Boys.
Tickets range from $40 to $89, and are available online at minnesotaorchestra.org and by phone at 612-371-5656.
Sarah Hicks is principal conductor of the Minnesota Orchestra’s Live at Orchestra Hall series. Later in June she will collaborate with the Orchestra in a program of music from Pixar’s popular animated films.
Other highlights of her current season include return engagements with the San Francisco Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra and Milwaukee Symphony, as well as debuts with orchestras including the Pittsburgh Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony and Alabama Symphony. In 2011 she toured with British rock icon Sting, leading 31 concerts over two months in venues throughout Europe. For more information, visit minnesotaorchestra.org.
