The Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus presents “It Gets Amazing”, featuring area premiere of composer Stephen Schwartz’s (Wicked, Godspell) new work Testimony, on Friday, April 5-6 at 8 p.m, at Ted Mann Concert Hall, 2128 Fourth Street South, Minneapolis, MN 55455.
Composed for the GLBT choral movement and based on texts from the It Gets Better Project, Testimony weaves lyrics of despair and hope with beautiful music to create a profound piece of artistry that TCGMC is honored to share with you.
In Act II, TCGMC proudly revisits Tomie dePaola’s Oliver Button is a Sissy, the heartwarming story about a boy who likes to sing and dance rather than play sports.
The hope is that at the end of the evening, patrons will leave with a message of inspiration and hope that you will take to our younger brothers and sisters: “Life doesn’t just get better. It gets Amazing!”
Tickets are $25 – $48. Save $5 when you buy tickets in advance. Children 12 and under get 50 percent off. For tickets contact U of M Tickets and Events at 612-624-2345 or online at the U of M Tickets and Events Office.
