Minneapolis, August 28, 2013—The Walker Art Center presented the second Internet Cat Video Festival this evening at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand, drawing an audience over 10,000.
The people’s choice award, the Golden Kitty, was presented to The Original Grumpy Cat. Grumpy responded to the honor with a characteristic “Whatever.”
Chosen by online voting of nearly 20,000 responses, the Golden Kitty was shown as the finale of the festival and was awarded by last year’s winner Will Braden, creator of Henri Le Chat Noir, and festival producer Scott Stulen of the Walker Art Center in front of a Minnesota State Fair Grandstand audience of over 10,000.
