Students in grades 6 to 12 are invited to an open-call dance audition for Interlochen Center for the Arts on Sun., Jan. 22, 2012 at James Sewell Ballet, 528 Hennepin Ave., Suite 205, Minneapolis.
Auditions will include ballet, pointe and modern technique. Participating students will be considered for admission to Interlochen’s world-renowned summer arts program or fine arts boarding high school.
Required audition dress for girls is black leotards and pink tights. Boys should wear white t-shirts and black tights. Registration starts at 1:00 p.m. and auditions will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The dance program at Interlochen Center for the Arts offers a curriculum designed for the serious student who wishes to study both ballet and modern dance. All classes provide a positive, focused, professional atmosphere.
